Safe Intelligence - this forms the core brand of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS. Connected cognitive systems drive innovation in many sectors, including mobility, healthcare, and automation in industry. What you will do

In safety-critical AI applications, it is important to assure the intended functionality of the AI system. Amongst others, a run-time monitor can be used for detecting failures during operation. You will support our colleagues in our scientific projects with the systematic testing and evaluation of methods, e.g., for out-of-distribution detection. Your work will help us in finding the best methods in order to satisfy the AI-related safety requirements.

What you bring to the table

• Very good knowledge in programming with Python
• Experience with PyTorch
• Experience in systematic testing
• Good knowledge on computer vision techniques
• Basic knowledge on AI assurance, e.g., runtime monitoring, robustness, etc.
