The Team and Role

Logitech's creative and Design Team is a hub of creativity and innovation, dedicated to shaping the future of user-centric products. Spread around the world in several sites and regions, we are constantly pushing boundaries and exploring new technologies to enhance our design process and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

This role will be based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Introducing the Creative and Design AI Lab:

We are excited to launch our new Creative and Design AI Lab, a multi-faceted initiative aimed at harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to revolutionize our design capabilities. This lab will focus on three key areas:

Experimental R&D: Exploring the latest AI tools, techniques and ways of working with AI to stay at the cutting edge of practice, understand the impact of AI on design processes and outcomes.

Subject Matter Expertise: Understanding and representing the interests of users where AI and creativity intersect - advising and consulting our Business Unit product teams on the future of creativity, productivity and interaction.

Training and Democratization: Equipping and empowering our design teams with the knowledge and skills to effectively leverage AI in their work.

As an AI Designer in this groundbreaking lab, you will be a key player in all three areas, driving the adoption and integration of AI throughout Logitech Design.

Your Contribution

• AI Pioneer: Spearhead the exploration and application of AI in design, staying at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing AI-powered tools and workflows that empower our design teams to work more creatively and effectively.

• Cross-Disciplinary Collaborator: Partner with teams across creative and design disciplines to identify and address design challenges using AI. Your ability to understand diverse design needs and translate them into actionable AI solutions will be crucial to your success.

• Technical Innovator: Leverage your knowledge and expertise in cutting-edge AI design tools like Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, Vizcom, ChatGPT, and Gemini to drive innovation across various design disciplines. You will explore the potential of generative AI, and other AI techniques to create novel approaches to product design, user experience, color/material/finish (CMF) selection, packaging design, and marketing imagery.

• Educator and Advocate: Develop and deliver training content to democratize AI knowledge and skills across the C&D organization. You will empower your colleagues to embrace AI as a valuable tool in their work, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Key Qualifications

• AI Expertise: A strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, with a proven track record of applying these technologies to design-related challenges.

• Design Sensibility: A solid understanding and appreciation of various design disciplines, including industrial design, UX design, and CMF design, imagery production.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AI design tools such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, Vizcom, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Basic experience with programming languages (e.g., Python) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.

• Communication and Teaching Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to a diverse audience and inspire others to learn.

• Passion and Creativity: A genuine passion for both design and technology, coupled with a drive to experiment, push boundaries, and explore new possibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or interest working in the consumer electronics or gaming industries

• Experience or interest in 2D and 3D creative and design workflows

• Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies

• A portfolio showcasing innovative applications of AI in design 

• A track record of teaching or mentoring others
