Senior Data Scientist

The Role

In this role you will join a new team dedicated to building and applying machine learning (ML) and advanced analytics tools to improve our sales and demand operations, solve business puzzles, and identify growth opportunities. As a senior member of the team, you will take technical responsibility for the tools we build, coach and mentor other data scientists, and develop and implement best practices that set the standard for advanced analytics within the company. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their business and needs. You are a self-starter explorer, searching for new ways of generating value with insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building ML and advanced analytics solutions to support business decision making
  • Taking technical ownership of our tools and platforms
  • Using empirical analysis and statistical modeling to create insights
  • Presenting conclusions and recommendations to business stakeholders in a digestible way

Skills You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Science role in business context
  • Master’s degree in STEM, Business, Data or similar
  • Solid understanding of the principles of statistics, machine learning, and mathematical modeling
  • Proficiency in Python and version control with Git
  • Experience in technical design for analytics solutions
  • Eagerness to learn a new business and make an impact
  • Excellent communication skills in English

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, or pricing analytics
  • Experience in data visualization using Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience in Databricks
  • Experience in building solutions with Gen AI tools
