The Analytics, Data & Decision Science team aspires to be the best analytics team in CBA at engaging customers by solving complex customer, product & channel problems through multi-channel strategies to deliver value for Business Bank (BB).

The BB Data Office, is a critical team within the Analytics, Data & Decision Science team, and leads data strategy and design for BB, prioritisation and coordination of data investments and implementation of data management practices across the BB business unit.

In this role you will

• Liaise with product owners, technical and risk stakeholders incl. Senior Managers and Executive Managers using variety of methods including facilitation of workshops to understand their business processes and use of data

• Perform sophisticated data analysis and discovery including data profiling to define data quality rules

• Develop Data Quality Rules using SQL across various data sources and filtration conditions

• Present analytical Data Quality results and insights to the Senior Manager level to ensure data quality rule fits for purpose and truly identifies data issues 

• Demonstrate the ability to solve business problems and independently manage work and relationship with stakeholders

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

• End-to-end data analytics delivery ownership including eliciting requirements, data discovery and developing analytical solution to improve data quality (preferably within Agile methodologies)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders up to Senior Managers and Executive Managers

• Proactive and insightful, generating ideas rather than merely servicing requests, confident in driving problem solving and capable to influence business decisions

• Expert hands-on SQL skills with experience in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS)

• Tableau hands-on knowledge (desirable)

• Meticulous attention to details, influencing skills, and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to work in fast pace environment

• 4-5 years of experience in analytics, focusing on solving business problems and generating actionable insights with knowledge of Banking: customers, products, systems, processes

• Tertiary degree in Economics, Information Technology or a quantitative degree, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science preferred
