You love to see how the latest smart technologies are deployed in museums, have an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task effectively!

As the Information Technology Division moves to the next chapter in the Transformation and Digitalisation of the Heritage sector, you will be part of a dynamic team of talented product owners entrusted with a critical role to lead the development & management of high-quality digital products & services to meet demanding business requirement in this fast-changing digital world. This will include following through the end-to-end product cycle from conceptualisation, planning to execution stage, including undertaking the requisite transformational and change management efforts to ensure a successful implementation. You will also lead the overall end-to-end procurement process from pre-tender to award stage.

If you have the passion and are geared up to the challenge, we want to hear from you!

[What you will be working on]

  • You will lead the planning, development, and deployment of a new smart robotics trial in the Asian Civilisations Museum and Changi Chapel Museum, incorporating the use of Amazon Web Services, Bedrock Artificial Intelligence, Temi Robotics, and audio-visual technology, while also exploring the potential for Robotics as a Service (RaaS) offered as a managed service that can be subscribed from the AWS marketplace.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project management, ensuring the successful implementation of smart robotics technology to enhance visitor experience and engagement within the museums, drawing inspiration from the successful trial of Temi at Changi Chapel and Museum.
  • Manage a cross-functional team to accomplish the trial's objectives within the 18-month contract term, including coordinating with external vendors and technology partners.
  • Establish and manage the project timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in robotics technology deployment, considering the lessons learned from the probation and training period of Temi at Changi Chapel Museum.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the trial period, leveraging insights from the ongoing monitoring, and tweaking of Temi's movement and presentation.
  • Collaborate with museum staff and curators to integrate smart robotics seamlessly into the museum experience, ensuring alignment with the museums' cultural and historical narratives, while also exploring the potential for multi-language presentation capabilities like the training of Temi to present in multiple languages.

[What we are looking for]

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects, including the integration of robotics, artificial intelligence, and audio-visual technology, with a keen understanding of the challenges and solutions encountered during the onboarding and training of Temi in a museum environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in leveraging Amazon Web Services for cloud-based solutions and Bedrock Artificial Intelligence for advanced analytics and machine learning applications, while also considering the integration of Robotics as a Service (RaaS) offered as a managed service that can be subscribed from the AWS marketplace, as demonstrated in the Temi trial.
  • Familiarity with Temi Robotics or similar robotic platforms, with a demonstrated ability to incorporate robotics into public-facing environments such as museums, while also considering the ongoing monitoring and tweaking of Temi's performance for continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, and technology partners to achieve project objectives within a defined timeline and budget, while also keeping a close eye on the performance and potential enhancements of the smart robotics trial.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with museum staff, curators, and external partners to ensure the successful integration of smart robotics technology into the museum experience, while also exploring the potential for multi-language presentation capabilities like the training of Temi to guide foreign guests.
