Are you looking for an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate your analytical attitude and technical aptitude to assist in financial decision-making? Quantitative Development and Data Science Technology within Fidelity’s Asset Management division give students the opportunity to do just that. The group is seeking students who are passionate in applying their problem solving, quantitative and engineering skills to assist our Quantitative Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and other investment professionals in their decision-making processes by developing be-spoke solutions. 

 

Education and Experience  

  • Class of 2025-2026 Master’s or Bachelor’s degree candidates. 

  • Demonstrated projects in full stack software engineering with ability to use various technology and tool. 

  • Academic or intellectual interest in financial markets. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, as well as the ability to clearly articulate findings. 

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Interest and executed projects leveraging Financial Engineering or Machine Learning concepts.  

  • Full stack software engineering – combination among - Python, R, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C++. 

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills 

Responsibilities include 

  • Build high quality, robust, and efficient analytical solutions that will be used to improve investment processes. 

  • Assignments will include gather the requirements for ideas through dialogue, conceptualize them through a programming language, and create a packaged solution that can be used by the investment professionals. 

  • Develop documentation for solutions created and thoughts on future extensibility.  

 

Location: 

 

Boston, MA; Merrimack, NH; Jersey City, NJ 

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
