We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Safety Department. The Safety Data Management and Analysis Intern will play a crucial role in enhancing our safety records and repositories, getting us up to date on past safety incidents, and collaborating with our IT team to develop a user-friendly solution in Sigma for our front line leaders.

Pay: $16/hr

Duration: 6 months, part-time with 20 hours per week expected

Location: In office in Provo, UT

Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and organizing records and repositories related to safety, injury, and claim data.

• Update and catch up on past safety incident records to ensure comprehensive data coverage.

• Collaborate with IT to develop a solution in Sigma for front line leaders to access and interact with safety data.

• Clean and streamline existing data collection and reporting processes.

• Analyze safety data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.

• Work on a project to enhance the methods of receiving, tracking, and reporting safety data.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Occupational Safety, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in data management and analysis tools (experience with Sigma is a plus).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
