Key Responsibilities

Your missions during your internship will be:

• To implement the missing features and functionalities of the delta-rs library, which is a Rust-based implementation of the delta-lake protocol, and to ensure its compatibility and interoperability with the reference implementation of the protocol.

• To integrate the delta-rs library with the Amadeus Data Platform, and to test and benchmark its performance and reliability in handling real-world data scenarios and workloads.

• To evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of using Rust as the programming language for developing and deploying data applications and pipelines on the Amadeus Data Platform.

• To assess and compare the features and capabilities of different Rust-based tools and frameworks that can enable distributed data processing and analytics, such as ballista and arroyo, and to explore their potential integration with the Amadeus Data Platform.

• To document and report the findings and recommendations of the internship project, and to present them to the relevant stakeholders and teams within Amadeus.

Your Profile

We are looking for tech-passionate students in computer science or similar fields, with strong English skills. Ideal candidates have experience or knowledge in software development and familiar with technologies like Rust, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Python, and various databases. Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus.
