We’re looking to add a dynamic Senior Analytics Engineer, reporting to our Senior Director of Data.

As our Senior Analytics Engineer, you will focus on ensuring the seamless flow of data from source systems through our data warehouses to our data consumers.  You will deliver data products to internal company employees as well as build data products for our external customers. You will develop and implement data quality monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability of our data.  You will uphold data governance principles to ensure that data is managed, protected, and distributed appropriately across the organization.  You will support our internal BI and reporting tools.  You will collaborate closely with your team to design and implement these systems, ensuring seamless interaction with teams at each step of the data flow.

Job Description

You will deliver comprehensive analytics by transforming and modeling data using Snowflake, dbt, and Looker. 

Our goals are:

  • Work with engineering teams to promote database design best practices
  • Capture important business data from our source systems into our data lake
  • Design and implement data transformations to support data analytics
  • Build out a semantic layer to support BI and reporting tools
  • Maintain and enhance data quality monitoring systems
  • Implement data governance best practices
  • Support our internal BI and reporting tools. 
  • Provide state-of the art analytics to all stakeholders
  • Provide leadership in terms of technical design as well as mentoring team members.

Qualifications

At least 5 years experience in analytics engineering including:

  • Strong experience with dbt or similar tools for moving, storing and transforming data
  • Proficiency in at least one SQL variant (we use MySQL and SnowSQL), and writing performant queries
  • Expert at data warehouse modeling and techniques
  • Highly collaborative team player with team leadership skills
  • Strong programming experience, preferably in Python, or other object oriented language
  • Build highly reliable systems
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary Range: $150,000 - 170,000
