ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for an experienced data analytics leader. This person will lead a team of analysts and analytic engineers within the Enterprise Data Team covering core business performance subject areas around sales and subscription metrics. In addition to building a high performance team and maintaining team health, this leader will guide the strategy and direction of projects with the goal of creating single source of truth datasets for stakeholders across the company..

The Enterprise Data Team is responsible for providing consistent, reliable, and accurate metrics to teams across the company enabling data-driven strategic and operational decision making. We accomplish this by building end to end data products that give access to data consumers across the company to data through curated dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Planning: Lead quarterly planning for Sales and Subscriptions data domains, ensuring commitments are clear and deliverables are broadly communicated.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing analytics team, across several business domains, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Talent Density: Lead hiring for the Sales and Subscription analytics team. Maintain a high standard for talent and seek to continuously raise it.
  • Data Architecture: Structure data effectively for a large group of self service consumers.
  • Data Quality: Establish consistent definitions and proactively identify potential issues in data trends and patterns.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Create and maintain self service reporting and dashboard solutions that provide visibility into key performance metrics for various stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as FP&A to provide consistent, reliable metrics and support decision-making.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 6+ years of professional experience in decision science, business analytics, data science, software engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, managing individual contributors in data analysis, engineering, or data science
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships across departments
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of data pipeline and ETL tools (e.g. Airflow, DBT).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with predictive analytics is a plus.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
