Senior Python AI Developer II

What Should You Expect? 

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer, with AWS-centric SRE skills, to help us build out a set of AI-applications across Suvoda. These applications are built around LangChain in Python, and deployed via AWS.  

 Responsibilities:  

• Design, develop, and support clinical trial software with emphasis on patient safety and integrity of clinical study data 
• Assist with the creation of technical design and implementation documentation  
• Design and code software applications and fix defects  
• Provide unit testing coverage for delivered code  
• Work with others to ensure timely delivery of high-quality code  
• Assist support team with troubleshooting and resolution of production issues  
• Perform other related duties as required 

Required experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Python programming for industrial-grade production applications
• Extensive experience with OOP principles and building modular applications  
• Experience using Python concurrent programming styles & techniques
• Experience with SQL databases & mapping libraries  
• Building of REST APIs for backend applications using FastAPI, Django or similar technologies.  
• Ability to design, develop, and support software modules with medium to high complexity  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and learning capability
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills 

Nice to have:  

• Experience with other programming languages, such as C# or Java
• Experience of building RAG applications, using LangChain or Semantic Kernel  
• Embedding, chunking and vectorizing enterprise data sources for use with LLMs  
• Training and fine tuning LLMs  
• Use of open-source LLMs  

We are prepared to consider fast, motivated, principled Python developers that can learn quickly, over those who already have a full AI skillset. This role will involve fast context switching between the applications and infrastructure we need to build, so flexibility is key.
