YOUR ROLE

The Data & Analytics team continues to grow within CEVA Logistics in Bleiswijk. You have the opportunity to make an impact with the team at our customer Zalando.

As a Data Analyst you are constantly looking for solutions and improvements for our processes. Your work usually starts with a request for information from our customer, a direct colleague, MT member or is already described by our Business Analyst.

These questions can be very diverse, such as questions about numbers processed, productivity per process, trend analyses and long-term planning. It is important that you are able to get the 'question behind the question' in a personal conversation with the various stakeholders. The required data may already be available within our data sources. If not, you will look for the right data. We work with the client's WMS, Tableau and Excel (VBA).

The Data Analytics team is in the middle of the organization, supporting different departments to make the right decision. We are at the start of a fun period: there is still a world of valuable insights to discover. This means that in addition to strong analytical skills, your communication skills and affinity with data-driven decision-making are going to make the difference. Together with your colleague Data Analyst & the Manager Data Analytics, you will build an environment (in Tableau) that allows the organization to move forward.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Retrieve the right data from the various internal and external stakeholders;
• In collaboration with the Manager Data Analytics & Zalando you will ensure that the right data is available;
• You analyze the data from the WMS and Excel of Zalando;
• You validate the data and if necessary you clean up the data, apply ETL, or normalize data. Sometimes this can be a bit of a puzzle, of course your colleagues will be happy to help you;
• You take care of Visualization in Tableau or Excel, or make a mock-up so your colleague can take care of this, depending on your interests;
• You support your colleagues in rolling out improvement projects;
• Your analyses and insights contribute to decision making and are the basis for new projects;
• Finally, you make sure that the final product is transferred to the user and you make sure that the data is interpreted correctly.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• A completed college or university degree, with a strong focus on (Big) Data and Analytics;
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar data analysis role;
• Experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus;
• Extensive experience with Excel, with knowledge of VBA as an added advantage;
• Familiar with data models and databases, programming in R is a plus;
• Excellent command of the English language in word and writing, Dutch is an advantage;
• Availability of 32 - 40 hours per week.
