What the role offers:

• The Fortify Aviator team is building a suite of tools to help our clients leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to review, audit, and resolve vulnerabilities.
• You will be Software Engineer on the team, and you will contribute to projects that aid in building these tools. 
• You will work with bright, motivated teammates to implement solutions to some of the toughest code analysis problems in the industry.
• Discover the core skills necessary for success in prompt engineering, the transformative field shaping human-AI interactions.
• Dive into the definition, applications, and responsibilities of prompt engineers, and explore the competencies that set skilled practitioners apart in this dynamic discipline.
• To ensure the design of efficient and interesting prompts for our AI-generated content solutions, we are searching for a Prompt Engineer to join our team.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Relevant education and/or certifications in artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.
• At least 3+ years of experience in software development

• Expand Fortify Aviator to support more vulnerability categories and languages, and improve its accuracy. The primary technique for doing so is to optimize the prompt sent to the LLM.
• Analyze and measure the effects of the changes you make.
• Look for opportunities to optimize the Fortify Aviator development process and improve our testware (written in Python).
• Collaborate with product management, tool engineers, and security experts who provide the expected outcome of Fortify Aviator.
• Keep abreast of the most recent developments in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and machine learning.
• Create and disseminate reports on timely performance and development progress.
• Proven work experience as a prompt engineer or in a position related.
• Good written, verbal communication and collaboration skills. Especially the ability to formulate in English with extreme clarity and precision, as this is needed for prompt engineering.
• Knowledgeable in programming languages, AI-related tools like Chat GPT, and data analytic approaches.
• Knowledge of AI-generated content generation, machine learning, and natural language processing.
• Very good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
