We are looking for a motivated working student to join our data engineering team. This is a hands-on learning opportunity, ideal for someone who is passionate about data, cloud technologies, and exploring AI/ML. You will be working alongside experienced professionals, gaining real-world exposure to cutting-edge tools and platforms like PySpark, Azure, and basic AI/ML, including Generative AI (GenAI).

You do not need to be an expert! Our team will provide mentorship and guidance to help you grow while making a valuable contribution to the team’s projects.

What you do

Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines using PySpark.
Support the data engineering team in integrating data from various sources into Azure Synapse Analytics.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement basic AI/ML models for data processing and analytics.
Experiment with Generative AI techniques under the guidance of senior team members.
Work on transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis, reporting, and machine learning.
Debug and troubleshoot data engineering pipelines, ensuring high data quality.
Document processes, workflows, and technical issues for future reference.

What you bring

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of PySpark and SQL.
Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics (or willingness to learn).
Interest in AI/ML and a basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
Eagerness to explore Generative AI technologies.
Problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
You can start immediately and are interested in a working student position for at least 6 months- part time (16-20 h/week)
