About the team 

 

Hey, you seasoned Data and AI oriented developer! We are looking for a senior level developer for our AI services team. This position will offer you a chance to work with top-of-the-line AI and analytics services, collaborate with talented colleagues and further develop and share your skills in one of the most prominent software houses in Finland. 

 

The team's main responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain services that utilize data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. As a part of this team, you will work with data engineers and data scientists. The team’s goal is to discover, promote, and create AI and data-enabled products and services, tailored for cross-domain use cases on the OP group level. 

 

 

About the role 

 

In this role, you will be an essential member of an agile team, utilizing your skills as a software developer to design and develop cutting-edge AI and analytics solutions that operate on AWS or Azure cloud environments. Your primary task will be to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of these services. You will also play a crucial role in facilitating the transition journey to the Azure cloud, serving as the bridge between the present and the future. 

 

This opportunity is available in Vallila, Helsinki. Like the rest of OP, we work flexibly, combining office days and remote work. 

 

 

What are we looking for?  

 

To succeed in this role, you should already have hands-on experience in software development and maintenance in cloud-based environments. We also value genuine enthusiasm for learning new technologies and continuous growth. 

 
Here are some of the requirements and technologies that we hope you have experience with: 

  

• Solid understanding and experience of cloud infrastructure: containerization, data management 

• Experience creating infrastructures in AWS and Azure using tools like Terraform and CDK. 

• Versioning and CI/CD-deployment pipelines 

• Programming with TypeScript and Python, and Data management with Databricks 

• DevOps way of working 

  

While we highly value technical expertise and relevant work experience, we also seek individuals with a genuine passion for learning, especially for a role that spearheads data development within the entire OP group. Demonstrating initiative, strong teamwork skills, and a positive attitude are equally crucial qualities.  

 

Additionally clear and effective communication in English is required, Finnish in addition would be a significant advantage.
