Technology Data Office (TDO) is part of the Infrastructure Service Delivery is a customer focused, technology enabled team, producing High value & unique analytics & data derivations to drive insight and value to our internal and external partners.. 

We are looking for individuals with very high attention to detail and who can work under strict delivery timelines to support the effective running of the Technology Data Office business reporting needs.

Role Description


As a Lead Data Analyst within the Technology Data Office, you will collaborate closely with the wider Engineering team and key divisional partners to develop required algorithms overall data governance process and deliver objectives. You will be responsible for capturing requirements, delivering automation where possible & working with wider team and partners.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and support an enterprise data warehouse and reporting environment, to deliver accurate and informative business intelligence that advises the business to make strategic and tactical decisions and provides individuals with the information they need to perform their roles more effectively
  • Understand business requirement and plan solution to address data needs
  • Partner with tech teams and business professionals to develop metrics aligned with domain priorities
  • Prepare reports using various visualization and data modelling methods
  • Develop, design, and maintain dashboards and analytics using ServiceNow and Power BI and other tools
  • Collect data from various sources and normalize it
  • Carrying out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
    Strong technology literacy, including advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite of products, Power BI. 
  • Maintain data standardisation, perform Quality Control and provide specific feedback to improve quality over time. Report on results to managers, including root cause and actions plans for improvement 
  • Develop strong domain expertise on how data is used by stakeholpartnersents and ensure that internal processes align to deliver customer satisfaction 
  • Work effectively with peers, research analysts, and manager – both within the team as well as other teams in multiple time zones. 
  • Adapt to changes to technology, process, systems as we transform our business 
  • Production of key materials in support of the business
  • Solving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources
  • Communicating results in a concise manner. Engage both technical and non-technical partners with clear and compelling communication.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges.
  • Organise and document business process decisions and rationale.

Governance and Risk Management

  • Responsible for facilitating and chairing regular project meetings, and follow-up with team members as required, track actions etc.
  • Responsible to own and drive to deliver our TDO plan. 
  • Preparation, collation, and distribution of project status reports, ad hoc presentations, and reporting (including executive and senior management reporting).

Personal skills & capabilities

  • 4+ years’ experience in business intelligence, platforms, and analytics: Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, Power Platform, Power Virtual Agent
  • Good data visualisation design skills and experience of data modelling
  • Sound knowledge and experience in Power BI Products and versions
  • Understand and transform partner expectations into technical requirement
  • Experience in maintaining and managing Power BI workspace
  • Understand ETL concept, data lake and data warehousing domains.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving (requirements analysis, documentation, specification, testing)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills and engagement with Stakeholders (business and technical)
  • Experience of the challenges and standard methodologies of BI in OnPrem and Cloud environments.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
