Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Midlevel Data Analyst, to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports
- Develops and implements data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases/data systems
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filters and “cleans” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Assists initiatives for application reconfiguration or implementation of data models.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years working as a data analyst or similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field is preferred.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL etc.),
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data (Excel, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Experienced with automating tasks and creating new tools
- Works independently with limited supervision, relative autonomy, and general review
- Works well in a multi-task environment prioritizing tasks properly and staying well organized
- Effectively communicates with coworkers and/or governmental representatives
- Writes/records notes of activity and accurately completes required forms and documentation.
- Works in a fast-paced environment with diverse reporting needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data analytics, and business intelligence
- This position supports an IT operations environment. The successful candidate should expect to support work on nights and weekends, to respond in a timely manner, and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain stationary up to 75% of the time in an office environment.
- Must be able to traverse between one work location to another to accomplish work duties.
- Must be able to operate IT equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, etc.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to exchange information accurately.
- Must be able to read, review and effectively respond to electronic as well as verbal communications.
- This position supports an IT operations environment. Candidates may need to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Currently, the contract work location requirement is to work in the office at the customer’s site once weekly at a minimum. This is subject to change.
