ICF is seeking a Data Analyst to provide qualitative and quantitative analytic support for the implementation, execution, and evaluation of a technology-centric approach for treating mental health conditions across our active-duty military members and veterans.  This approach will be executed as a pilot study at a controlled number of locations to evaluate the efficacy (among other performance measures) of training non-licensed mental health professionals on the use of behavioral health-related mobile apps.  This critical work is aimed at reducing suicide across our active-duty military and veteran populations.

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Psychologists and training experts, this position will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data (qualitative and quantitative) collected from various stakeholders and behavioral health providers.  The outcomes of the pilot study will be used to inform the effective implementation of selected apps into behavioral health care, advance accessibility and efficacy of care, apply and advance implementation science, and provide education to engage use of mobile apps throughout the care continuum and in the non-clinical community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data analysis subject matter expertise to develop, or assist in the development of, detailed analysis plans that map to the intended program outcomes and metrics.
  • Map analysis plans to appropriate analytic approaches and strategies to ensure accurate and meaningful data interpretation.
  • Use appropriate analytic approaches/strategies to execute/assist with data analysis, and deliver de-identified analytic datasets, data dictionaries, coding syntax.
  • Monitor pilot progress and evaluate outcomes related to the SocioTech integration of mobile behavioral health into clinical care.
  • Employ appropriate validated measures and develop evidence-informed surveys to collect quantitative and qualitative data from patients, behavioral health providers, and site leaders.
  • Complete necessary requirements pertinent to the collection of data using novel survey instrumentation developed by the contract.
  • Conduct Final Data Analyses.
  • Capture metrics of the success of this effort to inform the Military Health System (MHS) enterprise.
  • Ensure that all data collection and analysis activities comply with relevant ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Translate knowledge gained via the pilot study by contributing to the development of a final report and out briefings for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop or refine a variety of written documentation to disseminate findings of the pilot study.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a public health, healthcare, or behavioral health setting.
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • 5+ years of experience operating as a member of a team supporting multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience articulating and understanding of regulatory compliance and licensure requirements related to data collection and analysis.
  • 5+ years of prior experience developing and executing detailed analysis plans.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing advanced data management and analysis features in MS Excel.
  • 2+ years of experience using SAS (or comparable statistical analysis software) to support data analysis.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a federal contractor.
  • Experience working with healthcare or public health data, particularly in mental health or mobile health integration.
  • Ability and experience communicating effectively (speaking and writing) to diverse audiences in order to convey clinical processes, problems, and solutions.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$63,511.00 - $107,968.00
