This is what you will do:

The Manager, Process Data Analytics Capabilities & Insight (DACI) will be a key contributor for the process and product data digital transformation for Alexion Operations (partnering with Manufacturing Systems and IT) to improve process understanding and enable fast, smart and proactive data-driven decisions.  The Manager, Process Data Analytics Capabilities & Insight (DACI) will support continuous improvement of process and product Data Analytics capabilities, to boost data insights and process efficiency and robustness.  The Process DACI team within Alexion Technical Operations will serve as a center of excellence for process and product data analysis and statistical assessments in support of process and analytical testing improvements and in support of the regulatory filings for major process and analytical testing changes. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for introduction of Enterprise Data Analytics software within the Alexion Rare Disease Unit network for automated data collection, analysis and sharing, as well as definition of the overall business processes.
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, upgrade of enterprise data assets and models (e.g. Discoverant Hierarchies)
  • Translates Process and Product SMEs (including QC) requirements into indications for Data Architect/Developers to design, build, maintain, upgrade enterprise data assets and models (e.g. Discoverant Hierarchies)
  • Responsible for the lifecycle of Hierarchies released, including process coordination for Hierarchies changes
  • Defines and owns the business process and procedures to regulate the Hierarchies lifecycle and Data entry
  • Drives and owns the Change Control(s) and Change Management process for Hierarchies introduction
  • Defines, coordinates and provides trainings   and materials to relevant Data Analytics Software Users, advocating/teaching the benefits of those tools to the Alexion Operations organization
  • Defines and owns the user(s) list for relevant Data Analytics Software, ensuring appropriate periodic review to keep it updated
  • Responsible for coordination and performance of Data Entry Team (who enter and verify data entered manually into Discoverant) and other roles supporting data assets and models built
  • Supports matrixed team(s) in collaboration with Manufacturing Systems and Information Technology in the progressive widening & Introduction of new Technologies to improve the Process and Product Data Analytics Capabilities (e.g.: advanced dashboarding, AI, etc.)
  • Supports Process DACI Lead in defining and maintaining the multi-year Strategic Roadmap of Alexion Operations Process and Product Digital transformation
  • Supports Process DACI Lead in establishing a Data Analytics Culture across Alexion Technical Operations, Quality Control, and Alexion Operations
  • Supports Process DACI Lead for ATO annual budget and Medium Term Plan (MTP) for the Data Analytics
  • Supports other members of the Process DACI Team for process and product data analysis and statistical assessments (if required), and/or coordinates resources to provide required support

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science / Engineering
  • >3 years experience in technical support of manufacturing
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, high level of proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio
  • End-user experience with Data Analytics Software (e.g. Discoverant, Statistica) and/or Multivariate Analysis (e.g. SIMCA) and/or Dashboards built (e.g. Qlik Sense, Spotfire)
  • Experience with statistical software packages (e.g. Minitab, JMP) 
  • Change Management and Project Management Skills
  • People Management and Coordination Skills
  • Cross-fuctional Influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to apply these within a biopharmaceutical context
  • Ability to lead and operate efficiently in a complex matrix organization and international environment
  • Enthusiasm, proactivity, strong attitude for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Flexibility and strong attitude towards teamwork and collaboration, with ability to build effective relationships both within and external to the Department
  • Ability to see the full picture and anticipate long term impact of changes & future needs

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Business and strategic skills
  • People management experience
  • Development experience of Data Analytics Software (e.g. Discoverant, Statistica), Multivariate Analysis (e.g. SIMCA, SIMCA-Online), Dashboards built (e.g. Qlik Sense, Spotfire)
  • Previous experience in Process Monitoring/Continued Process Verification/Statistical Process Control
  • Coding languages/database experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification(s)
