Role Overview:

Based in Seoul, within the client services division, you will perform consulting work for Murex clients in South Korea and in the Asia Pacific region.

Throughout the lifecycle of the project, from pre-sales to implementation to post-deployment support, Murex’ Client Services Consultants are our clients' trusted IT partners.

They deliver innovative solutions and provide state of the art recommendations, advice and trainings. Data Reporting and integration Consultants specialize in the data mining, reporting and integrating solutions of Murex.

Your Mission:

• Serve as the Data Reporting and Integration expert during the implementation of the Murex platform

• Perform configuration leveraging a combination of financial and Murex platform knowledge

  • Know how to build Profit and Loss, Cashflow and other financial reports using Murex

  • Understand the change in regulation and their impact on reporting needs

  • Understand financial products (Fx Option, Interest Rate Swap…) and how to extract their characteristics in reports

  • Know how to integrate to Murex platform to other systems using APIs, Camel based Java interface development framework

• Provide technical support after the implementation to the client’s IT team

• Provide advisory and training to Murex partner firms and Murex client users about the Murex platform functionalities

• Participate in pre-sales activities (preparing materials, presentation support etc.) to promote the Murex platform to front office users at the client

• Communicate development needs to the Murex product development team

• Participate in implementation projects, delivery of interfaces for electronic communication network (for example, online trading platform), clearing systems, customer’s internal systems (e.g. core banking) and trade migrations

Your Profile

• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.  

• Ability to identify trends and recommend a course of action to resolve/improve/enhance the usage of our solution 

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment 

• Ability to listen to client requirements, seek to understand their business, and translate them into the application and operational requirements 

• Is self-motivated and a team player 

• Has a strong interest in data reporting and willing to learn about financial markets 

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, another technical field or equivalent experience

• 2 to 10 years of business experience

• Familiar with software design and development cycle (user requirements, specifications, development, tests and documentation)

• Demonstrated analytical skills and troubleshooting ability

• Language requirements: Korean: business level, English: reading comprehension

Preferred Qualifications:

Having one or several of the preferred qualifications below would be a plus.

• Master’s degree in computer science or another technical field

• Experience in a customer-facing role

• Experience presenting and delivering technical presentations

• Experience working with ETL tools (PowerCenter, BusinessObjects Data Integrator…)

• Experience working with Financial Data messaging (FpML, FIX, TOF, JMS, SWIFT…)

• Experience working with Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Qlik …)

• Experience working with a Data Lake or a Data Warehouse

• Experience developing SQL, PL SQL, stored procedures, Java

• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system

• Language requirements: Korean: fluent, English:  fluent
