The Role

Macquarie University is embarking on a significant Digital Transformation, replacing its outdated Sugar CRM (Tracker) with the Salesforce Education Cloud suite. At the heart of this transformation is the Student 360 Foundation Project (S360F), a pivotal initiative to establish a unified platform for student support and administration. The project, launching in September 2024, aims to provide a seamless, 360-degree view of each student, enabling personalised, data-driven engagement throughout their lifecycle.

The S360F project will streamline service delivery by integrating multiple systems with Salesforce, improving the efficiency of service requests and knowledge management. The foundation for future capabilities will be established through Salesforce Education Cloud, MuleSoft, and AWS Connect, while legacy systems will be phased out.

As part of this transformation, Macquarie University is seeking a Senior Data and Integration Specialist who will provide expert support in the system implementation, integration, and long-term management of the new CRM platform.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional IT support teams to resolve incidents and troubleshoot system issues.
  • User Support: Provide day-to-day support for business users, troubleshooting issues, and delivering timely solutions.
  • Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimize the performance of integration solutions, ensuring scalability and high availability.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest features and best practices for MuleSoft, Airflow, Appflow, and Kafka, and recommend system enhancements.
  • Project Delivery: Design and develop integration solutions for the Student 360 project, including APIs, batch processing, and event-driven services. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for successful implementation.
