Job Description Summary: The Role

JLL’s Work Dynamics Technology (WDT) Productized Services is seeking to hire a Product Management Lead for Space Data and Insight product management.  We are looking for a versatile product management leader with expertise in serving clients’ needs.  This role will work at the intersection of numerous other JLL Portfolio products to drive the development of the Space Data and Insights technology enabled service offering. The leader in this role will be a partner with multiple teams to build an integrated set of offerings that drive clients’ real estate portfolio management outcomes.

This role will have three primary responsibilities:

  • Create product vision, strategy and manage ongoing product roadmap development and execution.  Identify marketplace needs, driving refinement of the existing product from a technology, pricing, delivery specification and go-to-market strategy.  Establish product priorities with a focus on ROI.
  • Champion ongoing product performance for our Space Data and Insights product stack.  Ensure the product is meeting client needs and delivering upon a Commercialization Plan to grow the business.  Maintain close ties to the competitive landscape and evolving marketplace needs while keeping clients’ needs first.  Drive cross-functional program to ensure key partners in sales, marketing, pricing, engineering, and operations are tightly connected and aligned on performance opportunities. 
  • Drive integration with complementary products in the real estate portfolio management product stack.  Advocate for JLL’s clients’ needs. Partner on strategy with Product and Operations peers to identify ways to integrate with other products to support clients’ real estate objectives. 

This role will report as part of a broader JLL Portfolio Product team that consists of experts in Portfolio Strategy, Transaction Management, Occupancy Planning, and Lease Administration.  This leadership team is supported by product management professionals and peer resources focused on competitive intelligence, research, pricing strategy, and marketing.

The product management group takes a client-centric approach to developing, launching, and managing best-in-class, differentiated products across portfolio services.  The Portfolio Product team is focused on the development of the overarching product portfolio and go-to-market strategy that aligns JLL’s core offerings by customer outcome in a unified manner to deliver a differentiated and integrated customer value proposition. The team defines and builds product capabilities to simplify product/service offerings, increase product adoption with existing accounts, and help to expand revenue and margins for JLL.

What this job involves: The Requirements

The ideal candidate requires a unique mix of technical expertise and commercial acumen with ability to leverage experience in real estate and develop a deep understanding of JLL’s market, customers, and core business offerings.  They will have a good technical background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem solving and communication abilities, and poses an understanding of product design and solid implementation skills.  In addition, they should be able to work with and influence all levels of the organization to drive decisions and enable solutions which have great customer and business impact.

This position requires an extremely high product management acumen to apply a client-centric approach that integrates segmentation to work backward from client needs to feed the product requirements.  The individual will require a detailed portfolio management acumen, have a strong capability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams. 

As a Product Management Lead at JLL’s Work Dynamics Technology (WDT) Productized Services, you will be directly responsible for:

  • Creating the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our Space Data and Insight products that meets and aligns with business objectives.
  • Assessing the current state of products, identifying ways to transform existing solutions while evaluating innovative new solutions through the lens of built/buy/partner
  • Identifying opportunities, create business cases, and partnering across the organization to build solutions that will drive the digital transformation of the Space Data and Insight model.
  • Defining, owning product requirements and specifications and drive the product development schedule from design to release.
  • Establishing products goals and associated deliverables that aligns to business objectives
  • Working with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, design, client delivery and finance to deliver on the product roadmap and vision while allocating resources appropriately.
  • Championing the voice of the customer; establishing customer and partner forums for product feedback; engaging deeply with customers, partners, and users

  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated experience in driving a host of initiatives at once, managing budgets, team resources and project deliverables
  • Effective communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups and senior executives
  • Proven ability to connect with customers and users to identify needs and translate them into differentiated products and offerings
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change in direction/focus, experience leading through major transformation
  • Ability to cut through complexity and work towards a simple solution with speed and accuracy
  • Experience working in an autonomous role, driving product management process, and working on global projects in a matrixed environment

Education and experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
  • 10+ years in real estate or product development
  • IWMS/CAFM and CAD management experience is required. If not, an understanding of how space and business occupancy tracked and managed, working knowledge of AutoCAD, ability to read drawings & floor plans, understanding of Occupancy Chargeback principals and mechanisms. 
  • Experience building technology products in an agile development environment
  • Experience with SaaS or Commercial Real Estate industry is preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position:

130,000.00 – 160,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
