In line with our firm commitment to training and developing exceptional talent, this person will join our Clinical Pharmacology and Safety (CPSS) area to learn and grow through active collaboration with our team. 

Conditions: 

Duration: 6-12 months 

Hours per day: Full time 

Location: Barcelona, Avda. Diagonal, 615 – 08024  

Focus area: Predictive AI, Data Science and Bioinformatics 

Training through practical experience:  

The intern will undergo training in bioinformatics analysis and interpretation of omics data, to support the development of new predictive capabilities through AI, data science, and bioinformatics for predictive safety. In this role, they will contribute to the advancement of multi-omics technologies, which encompass the measurement of transcripts, proteins, and metabolites at both the bulk and spatial levels. This contribution will aid in translating these data into biological insights and supporting the discovery of novel mechanisms of action of our compounds. Additionally, the intern will gain experience in hypothesis generation through computational biology approaches, data integration, and leveraging biological knowledge. Finally, they will collaborate with academic research groups and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals. 
 

Requirements  

  • Bioinformatics skills with a focus on high-throughput omics data (i.e. bulk transcriptomics or proteomics). 

  • Expertise in R or Python, together with data visualization frameworks (e.g. ggplot2, matplotlib or others). 

  • Use of basic statistics (e.g. parametric and non-parametric tests, p-values, correlation metrics, PCA). 

  • Spatial omics experience is a plus (e.g. spatial transcriptomics). 

  • Skillsets in additional computational biology domains are a plus.
