About the team

Our domain, Customer Contact, provides the solution no matter how our customers want to contact us. We are an API-first domain with deep integrations across all our brands. We own Customer and Colleague solutions, handling millions of messages (voice, chat, social, email, mail), events, workflow automation and insights 24/7/365. You will lead our federated data team, which is responsible for all our data. You will be in an inclusive, agile environment and have the space to be curious, experiment, and solve real-world challenges. 

What you'll do

• In your role, you will lead a multi-skilled data engineering team to deliver innovative and high-performing solutions that create value and drive efficiency for our business. 
• With end-to-end product ownership, you will oversee change and run activities while owning the entire technology lifecycle, including service management. 
• Collaborating closely with product owners and the business, you will use your technical expertise to drive progress and influence outcomes. 
• Your responsibilities will include recruiting and retaining a talented team, mentoring and coaching colleagues, shaping a world-class engineering function, and ensuring the team possesses the right skills for product development. 
• Additionally, you will contribute to defining the technical direction and vision, fostering communities of practice, advocating and embedding agile/lean delivery methodologies, managing initiative budgets, and overseeing service support and SLAs. 
• Your role will involve managing people and product financial data, meeting targets, providing accurate reporting, and seeking value realisation opportunities. 
• Overall, you will lead by example and inspire your team, continuously striving for improvement and delivering impactful solutions while maintaining attention to detail and effectively managing resources.
