Job Description: Softrams, LLC is looking for a full-time senior or lead automation test engineer with over 9 years of experience (over 14 years of experience is preferred).  The individual in this role will be responsible for automating the testing of analytical models deployed to a system.  Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and able to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.    This is a 100% remote, long-term contract (>9 months) employment opportunity. All remote work must be performed in the United States.  

Federal Requirements:  

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.  
  • Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States.  
  • Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.  
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 
  • 8+ years of application development and QA testing experience. 
  • Must have expert proficiency and extensive demonstrated experience with the following: 
  • Strong SQL skills 
  • Database testing, data validation and verification (Snowflake and Postgres preferred)  
  • Experience with manual and automated regression testing of back-end systems and applications 
  • Experience converting/automating spreadsheet-based verification and validation via scala/python/other scripting languages 
  • Experience with testing and validating in notebook-based IDEs such as Databricks   
  • Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse preferred 
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid Claims and claim lines preferred 
  • JIRA/TestRail 
  • Github 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 14+ years of application development and QA testing experience. 
  • Experience in healthcare industry analytics and data, preferably Medicare or Medicaid  
  • AWS certifications 

Responsibilities:

  • Automate and/or streamline the current analytic model testing process for a fraud prevention system platform.   
  • Review current model automated quality control (AutoQC) and model testing checklist. 
  • Convert manual steps to automated processes, including automation of back-end testing. 
  • Analyze and understand complex business and engineering challenges. 
  • Understand user needs, and design end-to-end automated quality assurance processes with practical, reliable, and efficient solutions. 
  • Perform as a great agile team player and solve challenges as part of a team while serving as a champion for modern application development and testing practices. 
  • Explore alternatives and quickly build prototyping to validate ideas and help iterate concepts. 
Public Trust Clearance:This role requires the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is required to be eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship.  Work Location:We have open-collaboration offices in Leesburg VA and Baltimore MD for those who may prefer to work on-site. However, Softrams is a 100% remote-first team environment. Softrams works in the eastern time zone and standard work hours are 9am ET to 5pm ET with flexibility around start and end times based on team needs.
