AI & ML - Analytics Intern

In line with our firm commitment to training and developing exceptional talent, this person will join our IT Rare Disease Unit area to learn and grow through active collaboration with our Data Insights & Analytics team.

Training through practical experience:  

As an AI & ML - Analytics Intern You will be fully engaged with our AI and Analytics team to support the development of AI and analytics solutions for multiple Alexion Business Units. Your role will involve collaborating in the implementation of Machine learning applications, even exploring and pioneering Generative AI, to drive innovation within Alexion, translating business needs into high value tools. 

As part of your responsibilities, you may provide assistance in the following tasks: 

• Data exploration and profiling. 

• Feature engineering. 

• AI model training and evaluation. 

• ML Model deployment and pipeline orchestration. 

• LLM prompt Engineering. 

• Improve internal tools. 

Requirements  

You will need to have:  

• Strong knowledge in AI/ML, Data Science. 

• Capability to engage in business and data analysis/discovery. 

• Programming skills in Python and common Data Science frameworks such as NumPy, pandas and scikit-learn. 

• Understanding of relational databases and SQL language. 

• Basic understanding of software development practices and Python programming. 

We would prefer for you to have: 

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as pyTorch, TensorFlow and hugging-face. 

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as SCRUM and Jira. 

• Proficiency in writing technical documentation and familiarity with tools like Confluence and Notion. 

• Familiarity with Data Engineering methodologies and flows. 

• Familiarity with CICD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions. 

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
