As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Data Squad.

The team:

The Lease Data Management is a cross-border (BE/NL) squad centered around our (data) customers, powered by technology and driven by smart, determined people.

Position overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to provide insights that drive business decisions and shape our strategic roadmap.

Given our dynamic team and the variety of our challenges, the ideal candidate must be flexible and able to steer multiple data projects simultaneously supporting various domains (sales strategy, commercial performance, operational efficiency, regulatory reporting, …). He/She is a team-oriented individual with a strong analytical background and excellent problem-solving skills. He/she will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that will guide our company’s strategic initiatives and support our long-term goals.

The candidate will receive guidance and support to work independently. He/she has strong communication skills and is able to interact with a variety of stakeholders, such as sales, operations, regulation, developers.

Responsibilities:

  • The position is composed of 2 parts:
    • 80% Data Analyst
      • Collect business requirements from all stakeholders (sales, operations, IT, Product Control, …) using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops,and workflow analysis
      • Translate requirements into actionable stories for the Data Engineers. Ensure that the requirements are correctly implemented. Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to provide updates on data projects
      • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support strategic business decisions. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
    • 20% Data Stewart:
      • In support of the CDO – Chief Data Officer - ensure that the GDPR regulations with regards to data are properly implemented
      • Take responsibility of the reporting towards the regulatory authorities (NBB & ECB) and within ING.

Education:

master in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computing Sciences or related fields

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Fluent in English, fluency in French and/or Dutch is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Flexible and able to work on different subjects in different domains
  • (basic) knowledge of SQL and/or data visualization tools (Power BI, Cognos, Qliksense) is a plus
  • (basic) knowledge of statistical software (Python) is a plus
