Ibotta is seeking a Staff Decision Scientist, Client Analytics to join our team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. In this role, you will be an Individual Contributor leading and mentoring others by example through the delivery of best-in-class analytics solutions and actionable insights for our third-party publisher clients. This opportunity will be mainly focused on our business development & strategic partnerships growth, working with new and existing external stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of bringing actionable insights and analytics solutions to external clients with a trust but verify approach. You will be leveraging data to build out new and innovative analytical products and capabilities, proactively identifying and communicating data-driven insights, presenting these findings to technical and non-technical external clients and internal teams. 

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
 

What you will be doing:

  • Work in partnership with internal high-value client account teams to optimize client success on Ibotta platforms, as well as regularly engage with the senior leadership team (C-suite level) and senior technology team 

  • Regularly communicate with external clients to understand their business and program goals (especially around incremental revenue), present analytical results, insights and recommendations

  • Consistent ability to lead and guide large, complicated analytical projects and deliver at a high level of quality, while providing relevant milestone updates and prioritizing work efficiently 

  • Anticipate and adopt emerging analytical and technical capabilities and encourages others to learn and adopt through technical & business mentoring

  • Be active in our analytics hub-and-spoke community by participating in cross-functional projects and being analytics thought-partner

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in an analytical function

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics or related field required, advanced degree preferred

  • Experience working with:

    • Advanced experience using modern data analysis and pipeline tools ( (e.g., Databricks, SQL, Python, Git/GitHub etc.)

    • Advanced experience with modern BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc)

  • Client-facing experience and consulting background a strong plus

  • Extensive analytics domain experience in the CPG space

  • Excellent communication skills, including development of data summaries, visualizations and other storytelling methods

  • Significant experience creating a compelling client-facing story using data and insights

  • Expert visual and verbal communicator; an experienced presenter to senior executive levels

  • Independent, self-starter who can successfully manage one's own time and multitask

  • History of actively shaping trainings and teach-outs to upskill more junior team members

 Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals. 

  • Base compensation range: $122,000 - $143,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
