We are currently looking for candidates to join our new data team in the AI/ML & Robotics group. Our mission is to develop a foundational data framework for enabling next generation ADAS/UX products. This includes collaborative design of data harvesting from cloud connected vehicles, acquisition/processing framework for AI/ML data and designing value extraction algorithms. The team will have three pillars of data governance, data engineering and data science.

Join us at this exciting moment and take part in the design of a big data system fed and tightly interacting with Aptiv cutting-edge embedded driver assistance and user experience solutions. The team is a part of our CTO organization. Your scope of duties will be adjusted depending on your profile and inevitably evolve reflecting the nature of work in dynamic R&D environment.

To succeed in this role you either need to be:

- a big data engineer willing to deeply explore automotive applications of this technology

- a talented and open-minded automotive ADAS or UX engineer willing to grasp the potential of big data solutions

Your Role:

  • Design and implement solutions for extracting, transforming and loading data to our data platforms

  • Work with our perception, mapping, behavior and user monitoring experts to streamline and accelerate ML development for next gen systems

  • Design and implement data quality metrics, clean and organize raw and processed data

  • Implement data pipelines and data processing tools to meet the needs of our data science and analytics initiatives

  • Take part in preparation and execution of complex, high-stakes product demonstrations to stakeholders and customers, showcasing the capabilities and value of our ADAS technologies

  • Stay up to date with latest technical concepts and help executing activities to assess their potential for our business

Your Background:

  • MSc degree in Data Science, Robotics, Computer Science or Related

  • Proficiency in software development, data processing and analysis using Python

  • One of the following: Experience in design and testing of automotive or robotics control systems or Experience in big data systems, in particular designing and implementing ETL pipelines

  • Experience in a second programming language like C++ or Java

  • Experience in databases, SQL and at least one of the cloud environments such as AWS, or Azure in a production setup

  • Hands on experience in preparing data for AI/ML model development

  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques

  • Fluent command in spoken and written English
