We are currently looking for a Battery Modeling Researcher to join our team in Silicon Valley, CA or Remote.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Develop multi-physics & reduced order or surrogate models to simulate electrochemical systems

  • Interface with computational and experimental researchers to develop multi-physics models

  • Conduct extensive descriptive analytics on collected data

  • Analyze, summarize and present research findings and results through presentations, reports/documents and publications

Who We’re Looking for:      

  • Masters with a minimum of 5 years of experience or PhD with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related battery field. PhD is a plus.

  • Advanced research achievements in scientific papers and patents, with hands-on experience and advanced understanding of multi-physics phenomena (e.g., Newman model, Surrogate, Reduced order models, Equivalent circuits, COMSOL or similar tools).

  • Exposure to a wide range of machine learning and statistical modeling algorithms/techniques, and in-depth knowledge of Python with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, and Python packages for data sciences such as Pandas, Scipy, Numpy, etc., or Matlab.

  • Attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, excellent writing and communication skills, teamwork skills, and a strong passion for empirical research and answering hard questions with data.

  •  Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Salary Range:

$100,917.00 - $230,589.00

Salary Range Estimate: Annual Salary: (Minimum to Maximum of  Salary Range noted here). This compensation range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that it is uncommon for an employee to be placed at either end of the range.  Rather, an employee’s actual base salary generally may fall somewhere in between and reflect the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, and market norms.  Additionally, pay may be based on comparisons to the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles.
