JOB LOCATION

Toronto

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Spark (Python) leveraging Databricks Notebooks and VScode
• Implement and manage the Delta Live Tables (DLT) framework and structured streaming for real-time data processing.
•  Build and support resilient data pipelines for operational systems, actively engage in performance and cost optimization of data solutions, ensuring efficient resource utilization. 
• Identify redundant manual processes and propose automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes, ensuring seamless deployment and integration.
• Develop and maintain unit testing frameworks to validate data solutions and ensure high quality.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus
• Significant experience in developing with Azure DevOps, Spark, particularly in Python, and using Databricks Notebooks within Azure Databricks.
•  Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the Delta Live Tables (DLT) framework and structured streaming.
•  Proven track record in building resilient data solutions for operational systems.
•  Experience in using Azure DevOps for CI/CD and familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
•  Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Databricks notebooks development, Azure Data Lake Storage, and SQL.
