About the Role 

As a Data and Insights Analyst within our Pricing and Data Analytics portfolio, you will be instrumental in managing and optimising the analytical delivery tools for WorkCover’s data analytics function. In this role, you’ll lead the development, and continuous improvement of analytics dashboard applications, while focusing on re-platforming and optimising performance. You will oversee the back-end delivery processes for these applications, including publishing and access control, while actively contributing to application development using Qlik Sense to enhance insights and drive operational efficiency. 

You’ll contribute to: 

  • Managing the delivery processes for analytics applications and dashboards, including publishing and access control, while actively participating in application development using Qlik Sense to provide deeper insights and enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Ensuring analytics and insights delivery tools are current, maintained and optimised, including the update and enhancement of existing analytics dashboards and visualisations. 

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to design and deliver analytical reports, Qlik Sense dashboards, and insight tools. 

  • Leading the review, development, and ongoing enhancement of analytics applications and dashboards, focusing on re-platforming and performance optimisation 

A bit about you: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in data extraction, analysis, and the development of back-end components for dashboard applications  

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Business, Economics, IT or a related field.   

  • Demonstrated proficiency in building a broad range of visualisation dashboard application utilising tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau.  

  • Practical knowledge and experience in SQL, R, and Python are highly desirable. 

  • Well-developed capabilities in extracting, analysing and deriving actionable insights from extensive and complex data sources 

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to working within a team.
