As a Data Scientist Associate Senior at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art AI/ML/LLM/GenAI solutions to meet business objectives. 
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Develop and maintain automated pipelines for model deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Implement monitoring mechanisms to track model performance in real-time and ensure model reliability. Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the latest AI/ML/LLM/GenAI research, implement cutting-edge techniques, and leverage external APIs for enhanced functionality.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Formal training or certification in Data Science concepts and 3+ years applied experience
    •  Experience in developing and deploying business critical machine learning models in production.
    •  Proficiency in programming languages like Python for model development, experimentation, and integration with Azure OpenAI API.
    •  Experience with machine learning frameworks, libraries, and APIs, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Langchain/Llamaindex.
    •  Experience with AWS cloud computing platform, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes), and microservices implementation
    •  Solid understanding of fundamentals of statistics, machine learning (e.g., classification, regression, NLP, time series, deep learning), and generative model architectures.
    •  Ability to identify and address AI/ML/LLM/GenAI challenges, implement optimizations and deploy models for optimal performance in NLP applications.
    •       Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex concepts, and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.

 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

•  Familiarity with the financial services industries.
•  Expertise in designing and implementing AI/ML pipelines.
•  Experience in Fine tuning LLM models
