About the Role

This vacancy is for a consultancy role in decision sciences. You will work on projects for our blue chip clients in a cross-functional team with other data scientists and engineers. Within the team you will be responsible for:

  • The implementation of state of the art statistical techniques to enable decision making through the identification of causal effects within observational and experimental data
  • Communicating insights and findings to stakeholders through visualisations, presentations, and reports

The ideal candidate will also
  • demonstrate an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset to help us further grow acmetric
  • stay up-to-date on the scientific literature, in econometrics, statistics, and machine learning
  • be eager to apply new techniques (in these disciplines) and tools to improve decision-making processes

Key Responsibilities

  • conduct econometric and statistical modelling to support decision-making
  • contribute to the design, development and implementation of 
    • statistical methods to infer causal effects from observational data
    • statistical experiments and A/B tests
    • data-driven processes and methodologies
    • data infrastructure
  • provide and communicate actionable insights
  • determine the requirements to solve the business needs of our clients

Your Qualifications

  • Academic degree in relevant field (preferably statistics or econometrics)
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a professional, project-oriented (profit) organisation
  • Proven track record with topics such as causal inference, panel data models and quasi-experiments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work and communicate fluently in English
  • Based in the Netherlands and the will to work 1-2 days/week from our office in Amsterdam
