About the role

There is currently a job opening for ‘’Data Engineer’’ in the Data Science Lab. As a Data Engineer in our Data Science Lab, you will be responsible for leveraging company’s large amounts of data to drive business insights and improve technical operations.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain robust, efficient data pipelines to collect, process, and distribute large volumes of operational and maintenance data across both on-premises and cloud environments
• Design and implement relational and non-relational database systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability
• Utilize Python and data analysis libraries to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights, as well as develop and automate reporting mechanisms
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and IT teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and process optimization
• Implement data governance policies and practices, ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations
• Continuously monitor and improve data processes, staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and aviation maintenance to implement innovative solutions

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• 3+ years working experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the aviation industry or a related field
• Excellent knowledge in Python & SQL
• Experience with PySpark and Databricks will be highly appreciated
• Prior experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) will be considered an asset
• Fluency in oral and written Greek and English

• Demonstrating positive attitude with a collaborative approach
• Working under pressure, managing changing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Problem solving and managing projects in an efficient manner
