ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.   

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Manages data science strategy and implementation efforts.  

• Keep up to date with the latest breakthroughs in research and industry, which will be used to incorporate new data science tradecraft into areas of responsibility as they see fit.  

• Serve as the data science authority within their assigned projects and programs.  

• Oversee the development of new models and/or optimizing existing models across datasets that include, but aren't limited to, text, speech, images, and video.  

• Supervise and mentor subordinate project and Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field.  

• 5 years of position-relevant work experience.   

• DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.   

• Vendor tool certifications appropriate to TDL requirements; e.g., Oracle and Mongo.  

Clearance Requirements: 

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.   

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
