Internal Audit Data Analyst
The Internal Audit Data Analyst provides analytics support on confidential and time-sensitive internal audit and investigations projects. Under supervision, this job develops data analytics and automated solutions to identify potential internal control issues pertaining to the project area.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepares detailed data analytics routines, scripts, queries, and procedures that identify potential internal controls issues and recommend solutions.
  • Contributes to the development of analysis and automation solutions which shape the scoping of audits, fraud reviews, and internal investigations.
  • Understands industry-specific data analytics, business intelligence and quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Employs multiple analysis and automation tools (e.g. SQL Server, Python, Tableau and Power BI) and audit methods, techniques and approaches for obtaining optimal results.
  • Participates in discussions with management when communicating data analytic results and associated control recommendations.
  • Researches and resolves difficult transactional issues.
  • May provide functional data analytics advice or training to less experienced audit staff.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 1+ years Required
  • 3+ years Preferred

Career Level

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years of Data Science/Data Scientist, Data Analytics, Machine Learning experience

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of Data Science/Data Scientist, Data Analytics, Machine Learning experience

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Analytics products or solutions development experience,

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Able to develop business acumen

  • Experience working with stakeholders at different technical levels and knowledge etc.

  • Experience with Python for data science, visualization and automation, SQL, Tableau, Power BI

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $80,000/yr. - $117,400/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
