Data Engineering and Analytics Intern

The Data Engineering and Analytics Intern will learn how enterprise reporting systems work, and experience how to set up automated alert notifications in the cloud and develop monitoring dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI. This role is suited for someone who has an interest in both data engineering and data analytics fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fully understand how automated enterprise reporting systems are designed 

• Develop automated alert notifications for data pipeline runs in the cloud 

• Use Microsoft PowerBI in developing reports and dashboards geared towards monitoring the Insights Platform’s stability and reliability 

• Perform data engineering tasks to support the reporting needs of the data visualization team 

• Perform data validations needed for system migrations 

• Deploy and use non-production resources in the cloud (Microsoft Azure) 

Target deliverables:

• Proof-of-concept on automated alert notifications for the Insights Platform’s data pipelines

• Stability and reliability monitoring dashboard for the Insights Platform
