Data Engineer (Senior)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client’s exciting data transformation journey. In this role, you will work on building data products as part of a Data Mesh initiative, contributing to one of the biggest data transformation projects in the organization. The role focuses on implementing data-intensive solutions within a data-driven organization.

As part of the Data Engineering Competence area within AI (Artificial Intelligence), you will work with a cross-functional, highly skilled team to ensure data availability, quality, and scalability for AI-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure for machine learning projects.
• Build and maintain data products based on the Data Mesh concept.
• Work collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive the development of a robust AI ecosystem.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud infrastructure with a DevOps mindset, focusing on GCP.

Requirements

• Strong experience with SQL, BigQuery, and handling different data formats (Parquet, Avro).
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer).
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform.
• Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and future-proof code using software architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) and basics of Azure is a plus.

Required Cloud Certification:

• GCP Certification is mandatory.

Tech Skills:

• Python, SQL, Parquet, Avro, Terraform, BigQuery, DevOps.
