Applications Engineer 2

We are currently looking for an Applications Engineer to join our Cx DevOps team. Our primary focus is designing, developing, and maintaining tooling that is used to build, deploy, test, and deliver our solutions to the SaaS fleet. As an Applications Engineer focused on developer productivity and AI, you will play a key role in optimizing workflows and improving the efficiency of our development teams. You will work collaboratively to identify challenges, propose innovative solutions, and implement/enhance tools that facilitate better collaboration and productivity. Additionally, your expertise in test automation will ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. We currently have teams primarily located in Canada, the U.S., and India. Job Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze and enhance developer productivity.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom tooling for infrastructure tracking, build, deployment, testing, and delivery processes.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Use various technologies such as VBCS, Apex, and Generative AI to build and enhance our tooling ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks for high-quality software releases.
- Assist in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed tools and processes.

Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of software development experience.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and quality assurance practices.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of AI concepts and machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Experience with REST APIs and some Java.
- Experience with SQL/PLSQL.
- Familiarity with Fusion and Enterprise Development, and APEX.

- Adaptable with a willingness to learn new technologies.
