Position Specific Description

We are looking for a skilled candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in collecting, consolidating, and analyzing drilling and completions data to create and monitor cost and performance KPIs. You must have the ability to connect multiple databases and create analytics dashboards for tracking drilling and completions cost and performance. Experience in creating accurate cost and performance forecasting models is required. Technical skills required include Python, SQL, Spotfire, and PowerBI. Experience with development planning or Actenum is desired but not required.

 

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of data analysis experience in the oil and gas sector.  Drilling and completions data analysis strongly preferred. 
  • Experienced in the collection and manipulation of large datasets located across multiple databases to provide operational and financial analysis to engineers and business users.
  • Proven record in creating cost tracking, budgeting, financial/operational forecasting systems capable of operating autonomously. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create financial and operational models using historical data stored in existing databases.
  • Provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains and/or enhances existing or new systems that are reliable and efficient.

 

Must have:

  • Strong data science and modeling background regardless of educational background.
  • Candidate will be required to create various models and dashboards which will be used for monitoring operational/financial performance.
  • Previous accounting/finance experience is desired by not required.
  • Completions vs. production modeling 
  • Python, Spotfire, SQL, & PowerBI

 

Education:

  • B.S. and/or masters degree in computer science, data science, applied physics, finance, accounting, or engineering

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
