Who You Are: 

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and developing the enterprise data Lakehouse of Eutelsat Group. Cooperate with international staff to collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information to help the business functions in decision-making, while ensuring compliance with data protection and best practices.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and develop the enterprise data Lakehouse.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines
  • Analyse requirements and understand business needs related to data
  • Work with data scientists, data analysts and business users to support data governance and data initiatives.
  • Optimize storage and computing cost to match budget guidelines.

What it Takes: 

  • MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related fields
  • Previous experience as a data engineer (2+ years)
  • Deep knowledge of Snowflake (SnowPro Core Certification is ideal but not required) and AWS cloud (S3, EC2)
  • Good knowledge of DBT, SQL and Python
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Knowledge of data modelling concepts and techniques
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Problem solving skill
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with DataOps.Live is a plus
