Our team members are the foundation of our culture and everything we do is guided by our four key values, with empathy as the core. We work diligently and enjoyably, constantly seeking fresh approaches to innovate and encourage while staying true to our origins.

Join amaysim as a Senior Insights Analyst, where you'll lead data-driven strategies that shape the future of our business. You'll drive impactful analytical projects, delivering actionable insights that unlock growth opportunities across departments like Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Customer Service. This dynamic role offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve key business challenges, develop advanced models, and create powerful visualisations. If you're passionate about leveraging data to fuel business performance and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is the role for you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary link between Data Analytics and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into data-driven insights and delivering clear analysis and visualisations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Independently manage the entire analytics lifecycle, from data collection and cleaning to in-depth analysis and insight generation across multiple data sources.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to solve business problems, driving initiatives such as optimising marketing campaigns, refining pricing strategies, and improving customer segmentation.

  • Design metrics and automated tracking systems to assess promotion effectiveness, providing insights through detailed customer and post-promotion analysis.

  • Present complex analytical findings to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear, concise manner, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.

  • Lead and manage Data Analytics involvement in cross-functional projects, such as churn mitigation and product initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes.

  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards that track KPIs and monitor business performance, automating visualisation processes for self-service across teams.

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their analytical needs and deliver actionable insights that support strategic goals.

  • Lead automation efforts to streamline data processes, improve reporting efficiencies, and enhance the quality of analytics across the business.

  • Provide mentorship and training to the Data Analytics team, sharing expertise to elevate overall team capability and promote best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in Data Analytics or Data Science, ideally within organisations with a subscription-based customer model or working with clients in digital marketing optimisation.

  • Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and data modeling, with hands-on experience in predictive modeling, clustering, or Bayesian analysis.

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Business Analytics.

  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, as well as SQL for advanced data manipulation and analysis.

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Google Big Query, or Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong experience in data wrangling and end-to-end data analysis, utilising tools like Alteryx, Snowflake, and DBT.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI, delivering advanced dashboards and reports.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.

  • Experience in digital marketing analytics, with tools like Google Analytics, and audience management platforms such as Adobe Audience Manager.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for senior executives and cross-functional teams.

Perks and benefits:

  • Discounts to Optus/amaysim products and services, and to over 400 retailers Australia wide

  • Ongoing training, mentoring and focus on development opportunities

  • Flexible, Hybrid ways of working

  • Vibrant amaysim culture
