Vendor Master Data Analyst

LOCATION:                  Guadalajara SSC

REPORTS TO:              Master Data Associate Manager – Americas

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of vendor master data in SAP system.
  • Collaborate with procurement and accounts payable teams to keep vendor information up to date.
  • Monitor vendor data quality and assist in data cleansing initiatives.
  • Assist in managing customer master data, including accounts and info records.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to maintain accurate customer records.
  • Ensure timely updates to customer data.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate material master data, including product descriptions, units of measure, sales and purchasing information, quality and valuation, as well as setup of bill of materials and cost estimates.
  • Facilitate the accounting team’s financial operations by creating and maintaining the chart of accounts, managing cost centers, and ensuring the accuracy of exchange rates.
  • Support the accounting team with Cadency task management.
  • Support data quality initiative
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, procurement, and sales, to address master data-related challenges.
  • Participate in SAP implementation projects, process, and system changes
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Implement audit recommendations to improve master data processes and controls.

Qualified candidates will have:

Computer Proficiency:

  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • SAP experience is a must.
  • Basic programming knowledge (VBA Macros/Python) is desired.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.

  • Language Skills & Proficiency:

    English: Nice to have advanced proficiency in English

    Spanish: Must have expert proficiency in Spanish

    Portuguese: Nice to have medium proficiency in Portuguese

Business Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of business and financial concepts.

Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Adaptability and Flexibility: Adapt and remain flexible in dealing with different viewpoints and site differences. Effectively manage ambiguity.

Attention to Detail: Be detail-oriented and measurement-driven.

Cultural Awareness: Understanding of the cultural and economic nuances of the Americas region

Prioritization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage competing requests and priorities.

Collaboration: Possess strong influencing skills and collaborate effectively across multiple levels of the enterprise

Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills and the ability to establish common ground for win-win outcomes
