What Is in It for You:

This role reports to the Senior Director, Finance Data Analytics and Insight, and will be part of SLC’s Financial Planning and Strategy group. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with each of our alternative asset management businesses to drive data-driven insights that inform strategic decision making. The role will support financial analysis across SLC Management, including Fixed Income business, the broader affiliate platform, and SLF General Assets in reporting, statistical analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and planning. This role will require the incumbent to operate cross-functionally across SLC and the broader affiliate platform. They will work closely with the Finance and Operation teams to identify and collect data (financial and non-financial) and modeling approaches.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our Finance Data Analytics & Insight team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, generating insights, improving our finance data processes, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, diligence, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Analyze financial data and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making, in line with best practices from the alternative asset management industry.

  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

  • Lead AI initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities and drive innovation.

  • Support the development and implementation of data analytics strategies and initiatives.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular data audits and validations.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends impacting alternative asset management and best practices in data analytics and finance.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance data analytics or a similar role. Prior asset management experience is a strong plus.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools are helpful (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).

  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong collaborator that can work seamlessly across different business stakeholders and functional groups.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting is a plus.

  • Proficiency in cloud-based databases is a plus (e.g., Snowflake, Starburst, Tidemark).

  • Experience with automation tools and GenAI are beneficial.

Salary Range

The Base Pay range is for the primary location of the job.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
