JOB TITLE:
Scholarship and Data Management Coordinator, Senior
JOB PURPOSE:
The Office of Academic and Student Programs in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources is seeking a person to coordinate and manage college scholarships and oversee student and alumni data collection, management, analysis and reporting. This person will provide direct support and guidance to the Associate Dean, recruiter, career services, advising team, and college administrators through student and alumni data collection and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage college scholarship awards, including coordinating with department scholarship committees, following UW scholarship protocol, determining how to best utilize and award college-level awards, providing required reports, and summarizing awards for donor reports.
- Utilize existing and develop new student databases; query databases to provide direction/improvement to recruitment, retention, placement and overall student success; and summarize student data for use by advisors, recruiter, and administrators.
- Work with existing alumni databases and design new alumni databases as needed; query databases to provide direction/improvement to advisors, recruiter, career services and administrators.
- Develop and deploy student and alumni surveys to gather information requested by advisors, recruiter, career services and administrators.
- Create visuals (e.g., graphs, infographics, charts) and other materials to present data to diverse audiences.
- Gathering and organizing recruiting and marketing information.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean: assist the Associate Dean with special projects and provide information for impromptu requests.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain knowledge of current UW scholarship rules and regulations and attend relevant meetings and trainings.
- Serve on college committees as appropriate.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience: 3 years work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
- Valid driver's license is required for some positions
- Some positions require licensure and/or certification as a counselor, addictions therapist, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker as stated in the specific position advertisement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expertise with Excel and/or other data management systems
- Experience with survey design
- Experience with data visualization
- Experience with budget monitoring and management of funding
- Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies
- Understanding of current and developing student retention and success issues in higher education
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make effective decisions and think independently
