Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 5 years of experience with defining and delivering software products for developers or enterprise customers.
  • Experience leading product management for AI-based products.
  • Experience with the flow of training, tuning, and serving LLMs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration with UX, engineering, and external clients.

Gemini Code Assist brings together AI-driven developer assistance into an industry-leading solution optimized for developers. This role is responsible for leading improvements in model quality on LLMs with a focus on developer use cases. These LLMs are utilized in external products that make building and operating distributed applications easier with Google’s industry-leading AI technology.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and ideas for improving data/model quality for developer focused use cases.
  • Collaborate with foundation modeling and product teams to understand their workflows for model training/tuning, data quality analysis, and optimization.
  • Develop paths to production for data quality and model optimization research that will benefit Gemini Code Assist and Google at scale.
  • Experiment with diverse prompts to uncover the ways to interact with models across different contexts.
  • Drive execution in collaboration with several Generative AI partner teams, and other cross-organization collaborator teams, with frequent leadership updates on customer outcomes.
