Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking skilled and experienced DBA Architect to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database systems. As a DBA Architect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our databases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to query effectively.
Good to have strong exposure to cloud platform (SaaS PaaS. IaaS), Data analytics, PowerBI, Big Data, Automation, Scripting in any of the language (Python, DotNet, PowerShell, Terraform)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable database solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural goals.
• Optimize and maintain database performance through tuning, indexing, and scaling strategies.
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices and monitoring systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and methodologies to support future growth.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Manage database backup & recovery & DR planning. High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven work experience as a Database developer & Architect.
• In-depth understanding of data management (i.e. T-SQL programming, security & Permissions, backup & recovery, monitoring)
• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Highly skilled at database design, installations, conversions, procedures, database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management
• Design indexes to achieve critical dataset and query response time for time sensitive reports.
• Expected to imply design improvements and implement in existing & new schema
• Responsible for design T-SQL query and tuning.
• Develop documentation and training of routine database administration tasks and train server operations staff on these tasks.
• Troubleshoot application slowness and performance issues.
• Responsible for ETL of large data into SQL Server Author and modify SQL Server Reporting Services reports.
• Perform SQL Server integration with enterprise applications, migrations and server upgrades.
• Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server instances, including Always-On availability groups and failover clustering, mirroring, replication.
• Experienced in Database Performance, Maintenance and Development to perform the following:
  • Database management including backups, recovery and maintenance
  • Database management for export, import and mass data loads
  • Analysis and generation of all tables and index statistics
  • Setting up the baseline performance parameters, perform testing, monitoring and resolving the issues
  • Check all statistics related to memory, locks, I/O, database response time, wait events, top sessions and background processes
• Install SQL Server service packs and updates.
• Configure and manage SQL Security settings.
• Make system design recommendations according to Microsoft SQL Server best practices.
• Server Agent jobs and maintenance plans, monitor maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed jobs
• Resolve issues in a timely manner.
