BI Developer I – Fraud Analytics

We're seeking a dynamic and skilled BI Developer II with a fervent commitment to advancing technology and data analytics, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in both our analytical products and processes.

The Job…

• Develop and maintain robust business intelligence solutions, including data models, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, to support fraud detection and prevention initiatives within the lending fintech.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand fraud-related business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activity in large datasets.
• Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to ensure seamless integration of fraud detection models and algorithms into BI solutions.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation tasks to ensure data quality and consistency for accurate fraud analysis and reporting.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of BI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness in identifying and mitigating fraud risks.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in fraud analytics, business intelligence, and lending industry regulations to continually enhance fraud detection capabilities and compliance measures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or proven work experience in those (or related) quantitative fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in business intelligence development, data analysis, or data engineering. Experience specifically focused on fraud analytics or financial crime detection is desirable.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying, manipulation, and analysis using tools such as PrestoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in other databases such as noSQL, graph, etc.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python and R for data processing, statistical analysis.
• Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Streamlit, Rstudio-connect, etc.
