Analytica is seeking a  hands-on technologist that understands data analytics and business intelligence? Are you able to work with clients to develop and maintain complex, cloud/hybrid business intelligence and analytics solutions using Tableau and potentially PowerBI?

Specific responsibilities to include: 

  • Architect and develop intuitive, attractive, and interactive data visualizations using large data sets to create dashboards, using data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI, for a diverse set of users with varying technical capabilities 
  • Implement solutions using Tableau dashboards, Tableau Prep, analytical tools, and visualization concepts. They will have the skills and experience required in identifying, installing, configuring, developing, deploying, training, and maintaining high-quality Tableau dashboards and data sets based on defined customer requirements. 
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to review the client’s reporting and dashboard policies, processes, and standards to identify strengths and areas for improvement and provide recommendations for the current and future architecture to support data and analytical needs 
  • Develop and implement data management strategies, analytics solutions, and reporting tools to meet the agency’s mission goals. 
  • Design, create, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. 
  • Provide solutions for data storage and repository management, ensuring efficient and reliable access to business intelligence. 
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of enterprise BI reporting and ETL processes 
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for BI systems, addressing any issues and ensuring continuous improvement. 
  • Disseminate information about BI tools, reports, and metadata enhancements to relevant stakeholders 
  • Monitor and analyze current trends in business intelligence and provide recommendations for action based on data insights

   Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Tableau Certification strongly preferred, Power BI certification a plus 
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience architecting and building enterprise data analytics platforms with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)  
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building complex data models and using Tableau Prep and SQL to pull data from Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technology consultant for Federal government clients 
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau BI Application creation and server-side functionalities, including hands on experience in Tableau REST & JavaScript API 
  • Professional experience designing and developing PowerBI dashboards preferred 
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented mindset, and commitment to high-quality outcomes 
  • Residency in the DC Metro area with availability to work onsite in Washington, D.C. or Bethesda MD for 1 day per week 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.
